Narcotic~any of a class of substances that blunt the senses, as opium, morphine, belladonna, and alcohol, that in large quantities produce euphoria, stupor, or coma, that when used constantly can cause habituation or addiction, and that are used in medicine to relieve pain, cause sedation, and induce sleep.
Neurotic~Informal A person prone to excessive anxiety and emotional upset.
Today a student told me I was a “narcotic.”Ā He wasn’t angry when he said it so I guess it wasn’t an insult.Ā Maybe he meant I was a “neurotic.”Ā Hmmm, I don’t know which one I’d rather be!
hiiii!!!
my 13 year old nephew uses words the wrong way. they’re aaaaalmost right, but just enough off that they’re wrong. i’m sure your student meant neurotic.
unless there’s something you’re keeping from your blog? š
Hey Yo~
LOL!!!!
I would like to be Neurotic! š LOL
He he … that’s a hard decision for me too in choosing which I think I’d rather be. Ha ha. You gotta love when words get used wrong.
I love it when kids do things like this. My son came home one time and he had to memorize a poem for the next day at school.
He said: Mom can you help me rememberize this poem?
Not a real word – but it sure fit.
Boy do I miss them being little and cute
I like “rememberize”!
Morocco we are studying neuroticism in my psychology class…I’m totally neurotic.
Maybe he meant narcotic because you are so wonderful and you give him pleasant feelings when he’s around you. š
Stacy~
Lol, probably not!
