I was flipping through the channels and had the misfortune of landing on Lifetime.  How depressing.  It seems that every movie is about something with a  sad twist–pregnant teenagers, rape and incest, murder, battered women,  outcasts, abused children, stalking…the theme for the weekend is “Love Gone Wrong!”

  1. This is why I don’t watch much TV and I never channel surf. I like “shows” but won’t search for one. If something is on I want to watch, I watch but if nothing is on I like, off goes the TV. If I didn’t need a satellite dish for reception, I wouldn’t have one. I don’t watch many other channels. Isn’t it sad what’s on TV now?? This is such a bad season of shows.

  2. Joy~

I know. I used to be the same way and rarely watched tv other than the occasional show. But now the tv helps keep me company. The quality of the shows have gone downhill. Sometimes I am amazed at what stations air. We have the Dish but not many good channels. I guess I’ll have to find another way to ease my loneliness.

  3. I don’t remember the last time I watched TV. It has been years, I don’t miss it. We are creatures of habit and what ever we get used to, we are comfortable with.

There is many many things to do with your free time. Reading, exercise, crafts, cleaning your closets, cupboards, go visit a friend, phone a friend, vent on your blog. Do something you have always wanted to do.

The best thing to do if lonely, is join a club or volunteer somewhere. You will meet many people and develop some new friendships.

Stretch yourself, even if it feels uncomfortable. You will feel much better.
