I was reading end-of-the-year reflections written by my students and came across this gem. One line in partcular stood out in a paper written by Roberto, an ENL student, I don’t regret what I did, I regret what I didn’t do. How thought-provoking!
That is why I just do it, instead of wondering why I should not do it!
Have a great weekend!
Oh that is very insightful. I never have regrets, I just look at everything as a learning experience. Living life to the fullest is the best!!!
Wow I was just thinking about that. Not wanting to have regrets of what I did not do. Wanting to get off the couch more and Live life. I don’t want them to say when my life comes to a close. She really loved American Idol the Bachelor and watching Ellen. Sigh thanks for the conformation to Live life fully.
Out of the mouths of babes. Awesome for a child to realize this.
That is a great way to think about things.
That’s great. I’m going to add that to my mottos to live by this week. “I don’t regret what I did, I regret what I didn’t do” along with “Respond instead of react”. Less stress is coming my way with these two in mind.
Don’t we all have regrets about things we didn’t do?? You are right, how very thought provoking.
